Snow White FRRR 318X

"Snow White" White Horned Ewe - twin
This ewe has eye-catching, snowy white fleece, which was clearly passed on to her by her sire. She was one who continued to capture my attention all summer long, as I would walk out on the pastures. She was a bit small though, so I though I'd wait and see what shearing day would bring. I am so pleased with her conformation. There are so many things that can be hiding under all of that fleece, but she had nothing to hide. Very well put together. I will be letting her grow out until next fall before breeding her though.

Shaunie FRRR 219W

"Shaunie" FRRR 219W Horned White Ewe - twin
My favorite lamb of 2009. Fantastic fleece, excellent potential for high parasite resistance (her sire has not needed to be dewormed yet this year), her mother always throws lambs that are a step up from herself in conformation. Not the biggest line in the flock, but they more than make up for it in every other way.
2010 was a great year for this ewe. She twinned as a one winter ewe and did a fantastic job with them. She grew out more than any of the other one winter ewes this spring/summer, plus she had fantastic resistance to the parasites this summer. Her fleece and horn grew out more beautifully than any other sheep in the flock. I think she could end up being the star of the flock, and I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds for her.

Lily FRRR 117U

"Lily" FRRR117U  Horned White Ewe (single to a one winter ewe)
Daughter of our treasured ewe Lindi. Grandaughter of AI rams Gaddur and Lundi. This gal is broad and blocky, just really nice conformation. Not bred as a one winter ewe because she was a June baby. The Lundi/Gaddur breeding looks to be a real winner so far. Lily was an excellent mother to her twins in 2010.

Greela FRRR 115U

CLRC Pedigree
Horned Black Grey Badgerface Ewe (single to a one winter ewe)
Excellent fleece and conformation. Nice straight topline. Easy birth as a one winter ewe and natural mothering instinct right after the birth. Her mother was also the same way. If you are looking for a really nice fleece line, this is one of the best!
Sire: Tumnus
Dam: Greta

Terra FRRR 102U

"Terra" Horned Moorit Badgerface Ewe (twin)
Terra was the second lamb born on our farm.  Fast growing ewe with beautiful fleece. She is a tall and well balanced ewe. I believe that her mother carries the Thoka gene, but at this point, it doesn't seem as though Terra does.
Lambing record: 1,1, 2
Color genes: homozygous moorit, Pattern genes: badgerface and solid, Spotting genes: none
Percentage of AI bloodlines: 24% by Hunn, Horvi, Bambi and Blaevar

Terra gave birth to twins very early in the morning on April 6th. The black badgerface is a ewe, and the other was a white ram. Unfortunately, he did not make it. If I had to guess, I would bet that he came breech. The sire of these babies is Triton.

Lindi TKM 179T

Gorgeous white horned daughter of Icelandic ram Lundi. She also happens to be the only Lundi daughter in the U.S. Lindi is quite friendly, but it has to be on her terms! She has an appetite that doesn't quit and is very easy keeper. Her lambs are always beautiful, and very difficult to part with!
D.O.B. April 27, 2007
Lambing record: 1,2,2,2
Carries: Spotting. I'm not sure if she carries moorit or not... all five of her babies have been white so far. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for color in 2011! Although, she will be with a white ram again, so chances are not too high, but I'd rather have fantastic conformation over color any day!
Total percentage of AI bloodlines: 62.5%
AI rams in her pedigree: 50% Lundi and 12.5% Serkur

Lindi lambed this wonderful little white ewe on April 9th. She is a beauty, and will be staying here. I love Lindi's lambs, and I have a very hard time parting with them! Her sire is Jack Frost.

Stella TKM 188T

"Stella" Horned White Icelandic Ewe (single)
Mi Stell, as we call her, is a grandaughter of Icelandic ram Hylur. She is very friendly and has a voracious appetite! She always does such a nice job mothering her babies, and has never needed any assistance lambing. Stella does have hooves that grow very quickly, and she tends to bear some of her weight on the side of her rear hooves. She has lambed three times for me, and it does not cause her any troubles. She has not passed this on to any of her offspring either. You just need to stay on top of hoof trimmings for her. She is very hardy and friendly, loves to have her rump scratched and has some of my favorite babies. She wouldn't be for sale if I didn't have so many of her genes in the flock already.

Stella had twin ewes on April 4th. The black one weighed 8.5 lbs, and the moorit badgerface weighed just 3.3 lbs. This is the smallest lamb that we have had born on our farm. She was a little slow getting started, and so I did really watch her, and made sure that she was getting enough to eat that first day. But that was all the pampering she needed, as she bounces around like she's one of the big lambs! The sire of these cute ewes is Faolan.
