"Stella" Horned White Icelandic Ewe (single)
Mi Stell, as we call her, is a grandaughter of Icelandic ram Hylur. She is very friendly and has a voracious appetite! She always does such a nice job mothering her babies, and has never needed any assistance lambing. Stella does have hooves that grow very quickly, and she tends to bear some of her weight on the side of her rear hooves. She has lambed three times for me, and it does not cause her any troubles. She has not passed this on to any of her offspring either. You just need to stay on top of hoof trimmings for her. She is very hardy and friendly, loves to have her rump scratched and has some of my favorite babies. She wouldn't be for sale if I didn't have so many of her genes in the flock already.

Stella had twin ewes on April 4th. The black one weighed 8.5 lbs, and the moorit badgerface weighed just 3.3 lbs. This is the smallest lamb that we have had born on our farm. She was a little slow getting started, and so I did really watch her, and made sure that she was getting enough to eat that first day. But that was all the pampering she needed, as she bounces around like she's one of the big lambs! The sire of these cute ewes is Faolan.
